Dr. Petrarca went on to receive a Master of Science in orthodontics and a certificate of proficiency in orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in the city Near West Side.

He maintains memberships in the American Association of Orthodontics, European Orthodontic Society, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, Maryland Association of Orthodontics, Maryland State Dental Association (delegate), Southern Maryland Dental Society (peer review committee member), University of Illinois Orthodontic Alumni Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Petrarca lives in Bethesda in the home he shared with his late wife. He’s very proud of their daughter, who graduated high school with honors and is now in college in Virginia. Dr. Petrarca enjoys playing golf and tennis, exercising, dancing, and traveling. He reads history books and keeps up with current events in his spare time.
